Saunton Autumn Term 2023

Year 3/4 cross country
This week, the children had a fantastic time at our Anglo-Saxon workshop. They really enjoyed having our Past Presents visitors and learning about what life was like during this period.
We were also lucky enough to have our author, Jenny McLaughlan, come to school on Thursday. She even brought a dragon!
This week the children have settled really well back into school. They have made new friends, worked as a team and learnt our new routines. The children have all made a fantastic start to their learning; in English, they have been completing lots of fun activities for our new class story, The Land of Roar, and have designed and annotated their own secret maps for an imaginary place. In maths, we have started looking at place value. In topic, we have started to look at Anglo-Saxon jewelry.
