Exmoor Autumn Term 2023

Remembrance day
This week the children have been commemorating remembrance day by creating their own artwork. They worked really hard on their paintings, and as a result they have created some beautiful pieces.
Cross country
This week Exmoor class had a wonderful week! On Monday, we explored the life of the Anglo Saxons with past presents. On Thursday, we were visited by Jenny Mclachlan, the wonderful author of our class book the 'Land of Roar'. All the children loved hearing about how she created her magical worlds and meeting her dragon!
Anglo Saxon day
Author visit
This week All the KS2 children competed in the inter schools cross country competitions at Park and Pilton. They all had a fantastic time and really supported each other! It was wonderful to watch them all challenge themselves and show great resilience! We are so proud of them all!

This week the children have settled in back into school really well. They have made new friends, worked as a team and learnt new routines. The children have all made a fantastic start to their learning; in maths we have started looking at place value and in English the children have been reading a new story by our visiting author. In topic, we have started to look at this terms focus, which is Anglo Saxons.
