Following the success of the ice lolly sales last half term, we are pleased to be having one twice more on Friday 2nd July and the final day of term, Friday 23rd July. We will keep the set up the same for both dates as before with top and bottom gates and correct change only please.
We are also excited to finish the year well with the Bishops Tawton Big Summer Raffle! We have some incredible prizes already donated with more coming in regularly. 2 books of tickets will be arriving home with each child in book bags this week and cost £1 per ticket, £5 per book. Please feel free to sell them to friends, family and neighbours! The ticket stubs can be returned to school in a labelled envelope with the correct cash by Friday 2nd July. If you don’t need all of your ticket books, particularly if you have several children in the school, please return these in blank envelopes so they are able to be used for other families.
The raffle will be drawn on 9th July and winners will be posted on our Facebook group and informed via the newsletter!
We have spent a lot of funds this year without being able to raise a lot, so we are really hoping you will feel able to support us in our final events of the year!
Thank you so much!
The PTFA team
After the success of our last ice lolly sale, we will be out again to celebrate the end of the half term after school on Friday 28th May with another ice lolly sale!
Ice lollies will be 50p again and the same rules will apply with children using the top exit buying in school grounds and children using the bottom exit can buy their lollies with their parents at the bench at the top of school lane (keeping to the one way system). You are able to buy for younger siblings at the bottom gate if desired and children at cabin club will also have chance to purchase a lolly.
Please make sure you/your child has the correct change as we are unable to provide any. Social distancing rules apply.
The PTFA were delighted to fully fund the Stone Age visitor for KS2. We hear from the children it was a great success with them all learning lots and even getting to hunt a Mammoth! Thank you to the KS2 staff for organising it.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported us through the Christmas cards this year - with your help we have raised £82. We apologise for the hold up with deliveries and want to thank the office staff who helped us get it sorted.
Thank you also to everyone who has enjoyed the Christmas market event. It was more challenging to do it remotely but hopefully all the children enjoyed choosing and decorating the bag for their gifts. Special thanks to staff in school for helping us get things sorted and to the whole PTFA team for their help making this a success!
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas from the PTFA and looking forward to sharing some great fundraising events in the New Year!
