Bishops Tawton Primary School

Dear Parent/ Carers,

It is hard to believe that we have reached half term and have only worked remotely with the majority of you. This week has been one of planning, checking and discussion around what opening our site to more groups of children could look like. I am very grateful to my hard working and dedicated team of staff who have made this possible. Also, to the staff who have been  to school for the past 9 weeks to care for the children of our key workers.

You have received your information about how the school will run via email, we have listened to your feedback and answered your questions through this.

Thank you for your kind words of thanks and support, they are very much appreciated. Here are a few:

Thank you all for your continued hard work at this time. We appreciate all you are doing.

Firstly thank you so much for the care and support you have all shown to our children they are so happy and we are grateful as means we can continue our jobs at the hospital.

I know you are all working really hard to try and plan for what the new school will look like from 1st June.

We're very grateful for all you are doing, we appreciate you keeping us up to date with all this latest information.

Thank you so much for all you're doing in such challenging times, it's amazing.

Our heartfelt thanks also for all the effort you and the other staff have been putting in over the last few weeks, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for all of your support, our children have enjoyed coming to school and it has made this hard time at work so much easier to deal with knowing they are happy and safe at school.

It is now time for you to have a break from school work and enjoy what looks like a week of good weather. We hope you are able to spend some time having fun together.

The remote learning will be available for the week beginning 1st June.

Please see ‘Latest News’ on our website for up to date information as we receive it.

There are lots of materials to support well-being and mental health, we feel that this is most important during the crisis.

Don't hesitate to contact us via email if you have any concerns or problems accessing the learning or if your circumstances have changed which means that you might require critical worker child care. Admin staff are available every week day during school hours.

With very best wishes to you, your families and loved ones for a restful half term

Mrs Melanie Smallwood (Head Teacher)
