Dear Parent/ Carers,
Today we have said goodbye to our Year 6 group. We wish them all the very best for secondary school and hope that we can celebrate with them properly next term. It hasn't been the end to primary school that we would have liked for them but you can find their memories as a power-point here. Many thanks to Teresa for putting this together.
School closes next Wednesday 15th July and re opens for children again on 7th September. We will update you with guidelines and details in due course.
We have been waiting to find out about our summer care provision, unfortunately this week our usual providers have been unable to help this summer. Fortunately we have been able to create a holiday club using our own staff for one day each week. We hope this helps you out a little. Details can be found here, please book before Tuesday 14th July if you require a place for your child. If you are struggling to find childcare over the holidays other agencies have been working hard to sort various options. Click here to find the information which is being updated regularly.
Any enquiries please email email@example.com and we will try to help. Please note during the holidays the school office will be closed and a response will not be immediate.
A big thank you has to go to Mrs Lake and Louise for sorting out both a breakfast club and holiday club within such difficult circumstances and with little notice.
In September, full uniform, a book bag, water bottle and PE kit will be expected, including black school shoes (not trainers) No other items will be allowed to be brought to school. Please see our website for a list of our full uniform.
For some of you circumstances may have changed over the past few months and you may now be entitled to free school meals. For more details please read the information found here.
Please see ‘Latest News’ on our website for up to date information as we receive it.
Thank you again for all of your kind words of appreciation and thanks. The staff team have worked incredibly hard over the past four months and have done an amazing job of looking after all the children both in school and at home. I feel very fortunate to be part of such a great team and I hope that you and your children do too. We are excited to welcome back all of the children in September even though this will be our next 'new normal'. I am sure you are as proud as me at how well the children have managed in this situation. I know that they will be very well supported on returning to school next term.
With very best wishes to you, your families and loved ones for a restful, safe and happy summer break.
Mrs Melanie Smallwood (Head Teacher)
