Bishops Tawton School Prospectus

Ofsted report

Aims

Bishops Tawton School aims to:

  • create a caring environment so that children are happy to come to school and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
  • recognise the need of every individual by encouraging self-confidence, self-esteem, self-motivation, self-control and independence.
  • operate a sound and consistent approach to discipline.  We encourage respect for others and their property, a commitment to good manners, team spirit and an acceptable level of behaviour at all times.
  • acknowledge those who show consideration for others and withdraw privileges from those who behave in a antisocial manner.
  • actively encourage continuing home school liaison by involving the families of the children in many ways and as often as possible.
  • recognise the importance of Christian worship and Religious Education in the development of the whole child and we seek to encourage a sensitive understanding of, and a respect for, other religious beliefs.
